I picked up my first camera in a high school photography class back in Wisconsin and I fell in love with the reality of cutting out moments of life and expressing them from my own perspective. After high school I moved to Minneapolis and I decided to explore work in front of the camera as a model and actor. I loved everything about the business but I spent most of my time observing what went on behind the scenes. Eventually I enrolled in a photography program to move myself to the next level. After several years of shooting, I brought together all my experience in co-founding a modeling agency in Minneapolis, called Vision Management Group, Inc. www.visionmodels.com
The experience of running an agency gave me a solid sense of confidence that inspired me to keep reaching further. After ten years with Vision, I decided it was time for a life change and I opened a studio in New York City. I chose to return to my photography career full time and I have since shot for top agencies in New York, including: Ford, Generation, Product, Funny Face Today, and CESD, as well as agencies in Boston, San Francisco, and Miami. I have also worked on several projects for TV personality Montel Williams.
My other passion in life is travel and I have been blessed to have photographed the people and places of Brazil, Costa Rica, Egypt, SE Asia, Columbia, Amsterdam and Berlin. Traveling inspires me to dream further and spread my wings to reach new heights. I also feel that my exposure to different cultures is reflected in my work, as each new journey expands my artistic perspective.
